Hello, you are bidding on a rare vintage post WWII ca.1948 Poland Polish CWFC (Częstochowska Fabryka Wyrobów Celuloidowych) celluloid girl doll toy. With painted light blue eyes; jointed arms and legs. Marked on back.

A little bit of history:
Częstochowa has always been one of the most important centers of industry in Poland, including the toy industry. Already in 1888, the Jewish industrialist Seweryn Landau founded, together with his partner Herman Szaja, a factory of celluloid products. Initially, it was involved in the production of combs, and from 1900 (after a large expansion), also the production of dolls and toys.
After World War II, on ul. Short, there was one of the departments of the Częstochowa Celluloid Products Factory CFWC, which produced dolls until the 1960s. It was established on the foundations of smaller pre-war toy and celluloid workshops in Częstochowa. The CEO of CFWC was Michał Wojtowicz.
The dolls from the Częstochowa Celluloid Products Factory were signed in two ways (the aesthetic combination of letters CFWC was the signature). Initially, they resembled the pre-war ones, because old materials and patterns were used for their production, e.g. from the factories of Landau and Szajkowicz.
