Antique 13” French Silk Doll Parasol Bone Handle Hand Grip Late 1800s Vintage

Fabulous antique doll parasol / umbrella probably made in France in the late 1800s. Details:

Carved bone hand grip / handle, attached to a wood stalk. It looks like there may have been an additional ball tipped stalk that was once attached to the end of the bone hand grip, but it is now missing. It does not detract from the look of the parasol.

Tip looks to be painted wood with a brass base. Paint is wearing in places.

Opening and closing mechanism works well and the parasol can be easily displayed open or closed.

Pink floral on ivory silk pattern. Silk is “melting" in places, as is expected for antique silk items. Note that worn-out fabrics were often replaced, so this may or may not be the original silk fabric, but it is appropriate for the piece.
This is a very elegant accessory for a fashionable French bebe.
