    Antique 1918-1924 Louis Sametz 13" Celluloid Boy Doll- Rare!!.
    This little guy is a rarity- it has taken me quite awhile to identify him and I only came across 2 other dolls of Louis Sametz's while I was studying him!! He is darling in his sailor suit, which is very clean and stitched to his cloth body. This doll has mitten shaped hands in good condition that do not become cloth until his elbows. His shoes are painted on and attach about knee high. His hands and feet are not celluloid nor bisque- they feel wooden. This doll has molded hair that has material missing on the very top of his head. He also has a spot under his left eye that is damaged- it looks like he is wearing a dab of white eyeliner. Doll mark is a Native American Indian head with the word American.
