    Description

This is a Japanese Six-fold Kano School screen painted in inks, gofun and colors on a gilt gold leaf ground over paper. The arial view is typical through banks of clouds showing pilgrims and festival goers approaching a Shinto temple. There is a drum bridge over a river in the center and boats bring further pilgrims on the far right.  The painting has a double brocaded silk border and a black lacquered wood support.  The reverse is a typical asa-no-ha diaper printed design.
The wear between the panels and stains in the back from hands opening and closing the screen for a couple of centuries is to be expected and shows its authenticity.
Comes with an Appraisal Certificate from a well known International auction house.
Each panel is 1" x18" x 48".  Total Length of all six panels is 110".
I have pictured the most worn area of the screen.
I listed a 4 day shipping because this will require special packing but I expect to ship the same day.
