DESCRIPTION:
This unit is clean and seems to be in very good cosmetic condition. You will see scuffs and other minor marks from use, but it really does still look pretty darn good! It was dusty on the outside, and you can see it needs a good dusting of the inside as well, but I'll leave that to you! It came from a clean estate and the previous owners had a good amount of higher end audio equipment. It comes with the original Owner's Manual. No cords or other accessories included.
A Few Things From the Manual:
Designed for home theater applications
Uses 2 channels for front, 2 channels for rear and the 5th channel for center
Power output is 100 watts per ch FRONT, 110 wats CENTER and 50 watts per ch REAR
This has no controls on the front.... just a power button. On the back you have speaker connections for Front L/R, Rear L/R and Center channels, and RCA inputs for each of those as well. This would normally be hooked up inline after your surround sound controller, but I'm sure the creative among you could use it in many ways.
TESTING:
So I don't have an audio set up which would allow me to test this fully. Here's what I did. I took a basic amplified receiver and ran a line from the speaker jacks on one side to the RCA input of the Carver. Then I hooked up a set of bookshelf speakers to the left and right FRONT channels. Without an antenna, I only got static, and as I was concerned with over powering the speakers, I left it at that. I figured the radio static showed the Carver was picking up the incoming audio and outputting it to the FRONT channel. I repeated this with the REAR and CENTER channels and it functioned in the same manner. For this reason, I believe the unit is performing as expected. If you'd like me to try something different, just ask and I'll do my best to comply.
SHIPPING:
This will come to you quickly, well packed and shipped for FREE via FedEx Ground. FedEx does not deliver to PO Boxes, so I've excluded those.... if you need this to come to a PO Box, message me for a custom quote.... USPS is WAY more expensive.
Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions you may have!
