New SAMAP Manual Grain Mill with Hairline Crack
This unit has a small chip and air bubbles present in the stone. The chip is located at the top of the milling stone where you attach the handle. The chip and the air bubbles will not hinder operation and the long term health of the mill.
The SAMAP manual grain mill employs grinding stones made of all natural stone; Naxos/Basalt embedded in stabilized Magnesite. These grinding stones will not need to be sharpened even after years of continuous use. The adjustable feeding speed feature allows the grinding capacity to be set according to the grain to be milled.  Durum wheat, for example, is harder than normal wheat and needs to be fed-in more slowly.
You can grind all kinds of dry and hard grain; only the oily grains that would 'cake' the stones should be avoided. Grains that can be ground include rice, wheat, rye, oats, buckwheat and barley, even corn.
