This is a 2.5 - 3 pound loaf that you can cut any way you like to. If sliced into bars you can expect to get 8 to 12 bars,
depending on how thick you cut it.
They are approximately 2.5 pounds each, but due to handcrafting the size, color and shape vary. We take great pride in making you something different and unique that you can only get here. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do. ALOHA and MAHALO (Thank you)
OATMEAL BENEFITS
Enter Oatmeal. An ancient grain. High in protein, carbohydrates, and full of vitamins, minerals, and lipids. A feast for the body. These nutrients are beneficial to the skin, even when absorbed internally.
An Emollient
On the skin, oatmeal is revered as an emollient. That means that it softens, moisturizes, and hydrates.
Anti-Inflammatory and anti-oxidant
"Oatmeal contains both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties and as such is ideal for sensitive skin and to treat a variety of skin disorders (i.e sunburns, eczema and poison ivy)" according to board-certified dermatologist Dr. Susan Stuart. It can also help to reduce the pore size. These properties are helpful in combating wrinkles and other signs of aging.
Normalize's PH
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, "itchy, dry skin often has a high pH level, but oatmeal can help normalize your skin's pH, which can relieve itchy, uncomfortable skin.
Exfoliant
The exfoliating factor is simple in that the oats help to remove the dead skin cells on the surface of the body. Exfoliating is key to beautiful skin in that it helps to remove the old cells so that nutrients can get
into
the skin. It also helps remove the toxic chemicals on the skin.
A Natural Cleanser
Oatmeal contains "saponins" which are natural cleaning agents. Could it be that oats "clean" on their own?
A skin's love
Because of these wonderful properties, oatmeal can be used to help relieve acne, skin irritations, rashes, eczema, the symptoms of aging, and more. A definite plus in your skin-care regiment.
Honey Benefits
An emollient
Also called a humectant, honey is extremely moisturizing and helps keep moisture locked in the skin. This moisture and elasticity helps to give the skin it's natural glow and healthy "look."
Full of anti-oxidants
Antioxidants means slower aging, less wrinkles, less damage from free-radicles. In fact, the Skin Care Resource Center reports that current research has determined the effectiveness of honey as a natural form of sunscreen, helping to protect again premature wrinkles that might lead to cancer.
Anti-bacterial
Since honey is anti-bacterial, it is helpful in treating acne and keeping other bacterial irritations on the skin at bay.
In Hawaii we say, MAHALO (Thank you!) and ALOHA !
