The date on the scroll cannot be corroborated, but the painting clearly dates at least to the 19th century. Painting: 53 3/4" x 25 1/2" (scroll: 72” x 31 1/8”).
Significant wear and old repairs show clear evidence of age. One of the wood scroll ends is damaged
