JOB Systems 250 monoblocks by Goldmund. Lots of +ve reviews. V. RARE! ,600MSRP

Description

The rarity of these amps are not surprising given their ridiculous MSRPs when NEW and the sound quality it offers. When Goldmund launched their JOB Systems as an affordable alterative to their main Goldmund marque, they did two things right - keeping it affordable and offering almost similar sound quality with their massively expensive main line of amplifiers. Of course in the real business World where profitability is key, this was a utopian ideal. Which is why they weren't produce in large numbers (without jacking up the price) and as a result, almost never appears in the used market because no one wants to sell them. As monoblocks, the JOB 250 offered twice the power over their stereo 225 amp at 250W per channel. Built and finish is similar with the same "utilitarian" all steel, plain finish that looks and feels solid without the fanfare of their more expensive lineup from Goldmund. With twice the power, these "compact" (14" wide, 9.5" deep and 5" tall) monoblock amps will drive any speakers without breaking a sweat. Bass was tight, deep and well defined with a smooth midrange and clean highs. Goldmund's Telos range of amplifiers are audibly better but the JOBs are no slackers and they will not burn a giant hole in your wallet. At under ,000 for the pair now, they can easily take the coveted budget reference title. Swiss made, top notch sound quality and an affordable price tag, what else can you ask for? One thing that you should note is that the amps do not have a true balanced circuitry. So if you want to use the XLR input on the back and you have a true balanced preout from your preamp, you will need to remove a 51Kohm resistor that is soldered (comes like this from Goldmund) between two pins of the connector on the inside. But you should only do this if the preamp and XLR cable caused a ground loop hum.
Cosmetically, the amps look really good. Minor scuff marks here and there from use but nothing major. We have the original boxes for them and will securely pack them for safe shipping. The amplifier has a selectable switch on the rear for 115V or 230V operation so it can be used anywhere in the World.

: Item will be shipped within 24 hours of payment clearance except late Friday afternoon, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. Tracking numbers will be provided on all shipments. We ship via FEDEX and USPS with insurance and signature required. In the very rare event that an item arrives not as described in our ads, we will resolve the issue(s) with the customer to their satisfaction. Returns are not accepted for shipping damage. If somehow the item arrives damaged, the buyer will need to inform us immediately so that we can

rolling. We will assist every way we can to get your money back. But this will be rare as we professionally pack every item that goes out to survive the rigor of shipping regardless of value. All orders will be insured and declared at full purchase value. RETURNS
: There are absolutely no returns for any items shipped outside the United States. International purchases for all items are "as-is". The buyer assumes all cost of return shipping and handling. The only variation of this is if the item you receive is not the item you bought. In the rare event you have a change of mind (buyer's remorse) after receiving the item; we may take the item back under our buy back quote or impose a re-stocking of 20% of the original purchase price.
