WHY did we add Beckett Authentication Services to an item already certified from Upper Deck Authenticated?
While the UDA Certificate of Authenticity is a highly trusted COA, UDA's online database Cert Check system started in 2004.  Thus, when you enter a hologram number from a UDA item done before 2004, you're likely to come up empty on the Cert Check.  As a UDA seller, I'm seeing a fair amount of hesitation from collector's that can't get a successful match when Cert Checking older UDA items.  My workaround to provide collector's with confidence in their purchase is to RE-CERTIFY much of my UDA inventory through Beckett Authentication Services.  So, this listing, and many of my other pre-2004 UDA listings will feature TWO Certificates of Authenticity, the original from UDA, and, the additional BAS Certificate.
