    Description

    For sale is
a figure of man holding a lantern made by Nymphenburg around 1900.  He is known as Pierrot , one of the commedia dell'arte pieces which is one of the greatest set of figurines ever designed by Bustelli who was the best modeler in this medium ever! The figure is nicely modeled and left in the white to show off all that amazing detail. He is holding a lantern in one hand and has his index finger pointing on the other hand (which is often damaged but perfect here). Wearing a hat and nice outfit while standing on a typical base with a nice column to support him. The figurine has the impressed shield mark underneath with the impressed numbers 54 over 0.  He is superbly modeled and in perfect condition. Pure white but my camera is doing funny things again and it shows up as off white in the photos. The figurine is 8.125 inches tall, 3.5 inches wide and 4.5 inches deep. 20thC 20th century German Germany antique
