PERFECT Vintage Hazel Atlas Pink Platonite "MODERNTONE" Large BERRY BOWL!

Up for sale is an absolutely perfect vintage pastel pink large berry bowl in the “Moderntone” pattern by Hazel Atlas Glass!  Hazel Atlas made their “platonite” Moderntone pattern from 1940 through the early 1950s, and it’s extremely popular with collectors!  It’s getting harder and harder to find pieces without damage to the rings or oxidation on the finish, but this berry bowl is in exceptional condition!  There are no chips, cracks, flakes, fleabites, nicks or roughness anywhere, and the finish is in great condition – no faded or worn areas – the fired-on pastel pink color is a vibrant rosy shade!  There are no stains, or oxidation, I could only find one short little scrape on the outside toward the very bottom.  It measures 9 inches in diameter across the top (including the flanged edge), and it’s a very versatile size that can be used for salad, fruit, for serving vegetable dishes, popcorn, chips – just about anything!  About the only thing that I can find worth mentioning is a bit of mold-edge roughness around the outside edge.  It’s very common, and it’s not normally considered flawed.  It would be very easy to smooth it out a bit if desired, but it wouldn’t be noticed by the average admirer, and would probably be best left alone.  Photos of the Moderntone platonite colors can be seen in Gene Florence’s “Collectible Glassware of the 1940s, 50s & 60s”.  The winner will pay shipping.  Shipping will be combined for the buyer of more than one item whenever practical.  Shipping is normally within 24 hours after receipt of PayPal payment (if other payment options are desired, please don’t hesitate to inquire).
