This beautiful poster has been re-mastered from an advertisement for the Pomona Road Races, sponsored by Sports Car Club of America, held on March 5 - 6, 1960, at the Los Angeles County Fair Grounds in Pomona.
The vibrant colors and detail of this classic image have been painstakingly brought back to life to preserve a great piece of history.
The high-resolution image is printed on heavy archival photo paper, on a large-format, professional giclée process printer. The poster is shipped in a rigid cardboard tube, and is ready for framing.
The 13"x19" format is an excellent image size that looks great as a stand-alone piece of art, or as a grouped visual statement. These posters require
no cutting, trimming, or custom framing
, and a wide variety of 13"x19" frames are readily available at your local craft or hobby retailer, and online.
A great vintage print for your home, shop, or business!
    POMONA ROAD RACES
The Pomona Road Races were held at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds using existing pieces of roadway, parking lot, and the 1/4-mile drag strip. The races were held there from 1956 to 1963. Many legendary racing names like Carroll Shelby, Mickey Thompson, and Bob Bondurant could be seen competing at the Pomona Road Races.
The course length was 2 miles, with a 5/8-mile straightaway section laid over the drag strip. Everything from Corvettes to open-wheeled racers could be found racing on this track which was part of the popular Southern California road racing scene of the time.
