    Description
KoMo Fidibus Classic Grain Mill by Wolfgang Mock
The Fidibus Classic grain mill is a world class mill designed by master mill maker, Wolfgang Mock. KoMo mills are precision engineered and imported from Germany, assuring the highest quality materials and craftsmanship.
Baking with your own freshly milled flour couldn’t be easier. Adjust the degree of fineness of flour (from very fine to very course) by simply rotating the hopper clockwise or counter clockwise, add up to about 2 lbs of grain to the hopper and you’re ready to go. Cleanup is minimal to nonexistent. No need to store your Wolfgang mill out of sight between use, its attractiveness and small footprint only enhances your kitchen decor.
The Classic’s housing of sustainably grown native beechwood with finger jointed corners reflects the integrity of the mills internal workings. Within the elegant housing resides an incredibly durable and advanced milling mechanism. The industrial strength electric motor drives the more than rock hard corundum/ceramic millstones. All Wolfgang mills will provide many many years of reliable service. The generous 12 year warranty stands behind each one. The KoMo Fidibus Classic is our best-selling Wolfgang mill.
Power & Output: The Classic’s 360 watt motor produces 3.5 ounces of flour per minute at the finest setting.
All dry grains can be ground, including wheat (both hard and soft), oat groats (dehulled oats), rice, triticale, Kamut, spelt, buckwheat, barley, rye, millet, teff, quinoa, amaranth, sorghum and dent (field) corn. Sprouted grains can also be milled provided they are thoroughly dried first. It will also grind spices, lentils and dry beans (pinto, red, garbanzo, kidney, etc.) It isn’t suitable for herbs, oilseeds like flax or sesame, popcorn, or fibrous materials.

Freshly milled grains are far more nourishing and flavorful than flours which are weeks or even days old. Freshly milled flour from the Komo Classic exits the chute at a temperature only sightly warm to the touch.
Whole grains begin to oxidize and spoil as soon as they’re milled, causing a loss in nutritional value and flavor. At a minimum, it’s important to check the shelf date on store bought whole grains and refrigerate or freeze what you keep on hand.
Ideally, purchase whole grains in bulk and mill at home as needed. Whole grains keep indefinitely and hold their nutritional value. Milling your own grains with a Wolfgang grain mill takes less than a minute and cleanup about the same.
