    Description

This male US Navy Sailor doll was made in Japan and is thought to have been made and given away as a carnival prize sometime between the 1920's and the 1940's.  The celluloid face, gloved hands and boots are very thin and therefore fragile. The back of the hat is marked Japan.
Condition is amazingly good for its age and how thin the celluloid is made. Shoes, head and one gloved hand in complete condition. One gloved hand has damage. Clothing is faded from blue to a tan color (more blue on the backside of the doll), scarf is tattered and frayed. A soiled spot next to his scarf. See photos.
    Measures 7.35" x 6" x 1.5".
    Ships USPS First Class mail.
