It does have the box - it is just not pristine. I found this at a close out sale for a salon that was closing. The tamper seal is intact. It does not have an expiration date. I do not know how old it is. If there is anything wrong with it, send it back to me for a full refund.
The box was sealed originally, but I heard a rattling and worried the jar was broken. It turns out the rattling was the applicator. The jar is sealed.
