Making the most of analog and digital sources
When you see those 3-pin balanced XLR connectors lined up across the CX-A5200's back panel, you know you're getting a preamp designed for top audio performance. With XLR inputs and outputs, this preamp can maintain a balanced signal path from your high-end stereo source component all the way through to your power amp. This reduces the noise in the transmission, letting your music's detail and dynamics shine through.
Digital audio signals from Blu-ray and CD players are handled by two 32-bit/384kHz ESS SABRE PRO Premier digital-to-analog converters, for audiophile-grade performance in stereo or surround sound.
The AVENTAGE difference
For their AVENTAGE series components, Yamaha uses custom-designed parts with anti-resonance technology to reduce distortion caused by vibration. Shielded power supplies and a large toroidal power transformer allow for quiet operation. The CX-A5200's rigid H-shaped frame adds stability to cut out chassis vibration almost completely.
A specially designed fifth foot at the center of the pre/pro's base helps dampen internal and external vibrations, while the aluminum front panel further shields sensitive circuitry from external electronic interference for optimal sound quality. MusicCast lets you stream music from your personal collection, internet radio, and streaming services. You can also play Bluetooth sources, sound from your TV, and even CDs and vinyl.
